Main responsibilities
- Responsible for the strategic development of the food category, designing future-oriented concepts and specifically sharpening its positioning.
- Taking charge of a team of nine, acting as a coach and actively promoting the further development of employees.
- Manage and be responsible for the comprehensive analysis of relevant trends, product groups as well as market and competitive developments.
- Bear overall responsibility for negotiations and ensure the sustainable development of the supplier portfolio.
- Ensure and actively manage target achievement within the budget.
- Promote close collaboration with internal interfaces (group procurement, customer department, quality management, marketing, sales and logistics).
- Requirements - at least 5 years of professional experience: Proof of performance from a comparable management position in category management in Swiss or European retail
- Bachelor's degree (university, technical college): in business administration or comparable studies
- Expertise in product and category management as well as a high affinity and passion for food (such as chocolate, snacks, pasta, canned goods and cooking ingredients).
- Several years of leadership experience and the ability to effectively lead and develop teams.
