We are looking for a Junior Hydraulic Engineer for our CSD Environnement Valais branch in Sion (f/m/d) 80-100%.

- Your responsibilities:
- Primarily work in river hydraulics while contributing to various urban hydraulics projects
- Engineering degree with a specialization in river and urban hydraulics (hydrology, sediment transport, river management, hydraulic structures)
- Strong interest in hydrological risks, mountain watercourses, and urban runoff, with a genuine desire to learn
Main responsibilities
- Your responsibilities:
- Primarily work in river hydraulics while contributing to various urban hydraulics projects
- Analyze and manage hydrological risks in an integrated manner: river flooding, erosion, surface runoff
- Design, dimension, and oversee projects for river management, safety measures, and renaturation (SIA 31–53 standards), particularly on multiple watercourses and within projects related to the third Rhône correction Support urban hydraulics projects:
- Develop and update municipal water drainage plans (PGEE)
- Plan and dimension pressurized networks and infrastructure (collectors, pumping stations, discharge structures) according to SIA 31–53 standards
- Actively participate in several municipal PGEE projects and the planning of new networks
Key requirements
- Engineering degree with a specialization in river and urban hydraulics (hydrology, sediment transport, river management, hydraulic structures)
- Strong interest in hydrological risks, mountain watercourses, and urban runoff, with a genuine desire to learn
- Knowledge of Swiss norms and regulations (EPFL, EPFZ, or equivalent; experience in Switzerland is an asset)
- Autonomy, critical thinking, versatility, and strong writing skills
- Proficiency in QGIS and hydraulic modeling software (Basement, HEC-RAS, and/or SWMM) Fluency in French; German and English are assets Valid driver’s license
- Engineering degree with specialization in river and urban hydraulics
- Interest in hydrological risks, mountain watercourses, and urban runoff
- Knowledge of Swiss norms and regulations (EPFL, EPFZ, or equivalent)
- Autonomy, critical thinking, and versatility
