Main responsibilities
- Your role and responsibilities
- In this role you will be a core member of the HR Operational Services Team based in Baden.
- You will be contributing in delivering effective and efficient HR Services to the HR community, line managers and employees within ABB Switzerland and the Group's headquarters.
- You will be part of a motivated and dedicated team of HR Services and Payroll Specialists and support the Employee Lifecycle Team (ELC) in their daily business, projects and process improvements.
- This is a fixed-term job opportunity until end of May 2027.
- The work model for the role is hybrid. You will be mainly accountable for:
- Provide first-level HR support for employees, line managers, and the HR community
- Process ELC Switzerland requests and manage immigration/work permit procedures
- Serve as specialist in complex HR cases/projects across countries
- Actively contribute to end-to-end process improvements through feedback, experience, and initiatives
Key requirements

- You hold a commercial degree with additional education in HR (e.g., Swiss federal vocational certificate in HR)
- You bring at least 2 years professional experience in a similar role within HR Operations or Payroll and possess good knowledge of Swiss employment law and work permits
- You are customer-oriented, reliable, and accurate in your work
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, OneNote) is required, experience with Workday and/or SAPHCM is highly desirable
- Fluency in German and English is essential; French and/or Italian considered a plus
- You hold a current work permit valid in Switzerland (EU/EFTA) More about us
