- Completed apprenticeship as an automation technician, electrician, electrical installer, or a comparable technical qualification
- At least 3 years of professional experience in automation, electrical engineering, or a related technical field; experience with UPS systems (uninterruptible power supply) is an advantage
Main responsibilities
- In this position, you will have the opportunity to perform service activities in accordance with work instructions and in compliance with ABB quality and safety guidelines.
- You will ensure high‑quality customer service on a daily basis by planning service assignments and carrying them out according to customer orders and expectations.
- With your clear communication skills, you help maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty by clearly conveying schedules and expectations. Work model: Onsite
- This role is part of the Electrification, Smart Power division in Baden.
- Key stakeholders include customers, field‑service colleagues, and the internal service coordinator team. Your Main
- Collaborating with customers on‑site to identify optimization opportunities and resolve existing challenges
- Performing field‑service tasks, identifying technical issues, and conducting on‑site or remote analysis within the service categories and product areas for which you are certified
- Preparing material lists for service assignments and ensuring that all required materials, parts, and equipment are available and in proper condition
- Providing training to field‑service colleagues and customers when required Our Team

Key requirements
- Completed apprenticeship as an automation technician, electrician, electrical installer, or a comparable technical qualification

- Extensive knowledge of electromechanical systems, diagnostic tools, and field‑service methods in an industrial environment
- High customer orientation, flexibility in handling changing requirements, and a constructive approach to problem‑solving within the team
- Fluent German and basic English skills; professional communication in customer interactions
- Willingness to travel, participate in on‑call duty, and occasionally work on weekends; main service area: Mittelland / Bern region
- Valid driver’s license for assignments within Switzerland
