Interventional psychiatry
In the Department of Interventional Psychiatry, electroconvulsion therapies (EKT) are performed in short anesthesia. The preparation and follow-up of the ECT patients is carried out in the recovery room. We also offer repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) and esketamine treatments. We are looking for a committed person to work in the recovery room immediately or by agreement. Re-entrants are welcome. The Psychiatric Services Aargau AG (PDAG) is responsible for the high-quality medical, therapeutic and nursing treatment and care of mentally ill people in the Canton of Aargau. They employ around 1,600 people in over 50 professions. Interventional psychiatry 5210 Windy Workload: 20 % 20% (working days: Monday and Wednesday afternoons)

Interventional psychiatry offers treatment alternatives or supplements to psychotherapeutic and drug therapies at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. Interventional psychiatry refers to the treatment with electrical or electromagnetic methods, it can also include special pharmacological interventions. These methods are a treatment alternative or supplement to psychotherapeutic and drug therapies. At the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at PDAG, we carry out treatments using electroconvulsion therapy (EKT), repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) and treatments with esketamine.
Tasks
- They look after and monitor our ambulatory and inpatient patients in the recovery room before and after ECT and thus actively participate in their recovery process.
- Your activities include creating venous accesses, with further training in this area possible to expand your expertise.
- You apply your medical knowledge to the self-responsible implementation of medically prescribed measures
- They are trained to identify emergency situations and complications at an early stage and to act appropriately
