The Pneumology of the Hospital Muri is newly recognized by the SIWF as a training center for Pneumology category C (1 year). For our first training position we are looking for 1. January 2027 a colleague who wants to learn ambulatory pulmonology in its entirety – personally supervised in a one-to-one ratio. Our department serves more than 1,600 patients every year, with its own lung function laboratory, outpatient sleep diagnostics, endoscopy and consultancy services.

Their tasks

• Own pneumological consultation hour
• Implementation and diagnosis of extended lung function with body plethysmography, diffusion capacity, FeNO and methacholine provocation, spiroergometry, 6-minute walking test and allergological prick testing
• Detection of cardiorespiratory polygraphs and initiation and follow-up of CPAP and NIV therapies, long-term oxygen therapy and home ventilation
• Flexible bronchoscopy with bronchoalveolar lavage and biopsy as well as radiosonographically controlled transbronchial biopsy (rEBUS) – initially assistive, with growing experience in own interventions
• Thoracic sonography, pleural puncture and thoracic drainage
• Pulmonary consultants in hospitalized patients
• Assistance in emergency practice with ten services, excluding night services
• Cooperation in SGP-certified ambulatory pulmonary rehabilitation

Your profile

• Swiss or MEBEKO recognised medical diploma
• Several years of training in general internal medicine, ideally with completed basic training or specialist title
• Objective Specialist title Pneumology or pneumology as a module of your postgraduate training in General Internal Medicine, in the curriculum GP/GP or hospital internist/spital internist
• Enjoyment of outpatient medicine, independent work and interprofessional cooperation
• Very good knowledge of German in word and writing

You will be personally supervised by the head of the training centre, carefully incorporated in the tandem and supported in your professional development by regular location meetings and at least four workplace-based assessments per year. Four hours of structured training per week, the daily X-ray meeting with radiology, the pneumological case colloquium as well as the Journal Club, the ILD colloquium and the interdisciplinary thoracic oncology tumor board together with the pneumology of the Canton Hospital Baden offer you a wide range of opportunities to deepen your knowledge and contribute your own cases.
