Canton of Zurich Finance Directorate Office of Informatics Application Manager 100% The Office of Informatics (AFI) is the IT competence center of the Canton of Zurich. It provides comprehensive services in the area of ​​central IT infrastructure and canton-wide applications for directorates, authorities, the judiciary and independent institutions. Tasked with implementing the new information and communication technology (ICT) strategy, the Office of Information Technology accompanies and supports the Canton of Zurich in the digital world. In the Applications Operations Services team, we take responsibility for the stable operation, further development and integration of these applications in our on-prem environment. • Monitoring ongoing application operations and integration of cantonal on-prem applications (Windows, Linux and Kubernetes)
• Carrying out 2nd and 3rd level support including monitoring
• Provide workarounds as part of problem management
• Assisting in the implementation of releases including change, deployment and test management incl. Document creation
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Support lifecycle and interface management as well as further development
• Active participation in the development of the new service area Your Profile
• University degree (Bachelor) in computer science or business informatics
• Several years of experience in application operation and management of on-prem applications (standard, industry or individual software on Linux, Windows and/or Kubernetes)
• Know-how in the agile environment of complex IT organizations
• Structured, service-oriented and independent way of working
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Experience in setting up and supporting complex services and interfaces
