Introduction
You will join a multidisciplinary team responsible for developing more efficient superconducting radiofrequency (SRF) cavities for future CERN accelerators.
In this hands-on role, after dedicated training in the team you will contribute to the improvement of thin-film coating technologies through the design, fabrication, commissioning and operation of physical vapour deposition (PVD) equipment. Functions:

- Technical certificate or general secondary education or equivalent relevant experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Experience:
- Experience in conventional and CNC machining operations, particularly milling and turning.
- Experience using 3-dimensional computer-aided design 3D CAD software and interpreting technical drawings.
- Experience in the assembly and testing of ultra-high vacuum (UHV) systems would be an asset.
- Basic knowledge of vacuum thin-film coating techniques would be an asset. Technical competencies:
