- The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zurich invites applications for a Professorship and Chair of Neurology.
- The professorship is based at the Department of Neurology of the University Hospital Zurich and represents the subject in research, patient care and teaching.
- The professor will be appointed as head of the department.
- We seek a dynamic and inclusive leader with outstanding clinical expertise, a distinguished scientific track record, and strong international recognition, who can articulate a compelling vision for the future of neurological research and education.
- Applicants must hold a habilitation (or equivalent qualification) and board certification in neurology.
- Relevant research areas may include, but are not limited to, cerebrovascular diseases, neurooncology, movement disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, and neuroimmunology.
- Candidates should demonstrate leadership experience at the level of senior physician or senior attending physician at a university hospital.
- A proven ability to lead large research teams, secure competitive third-party funding, and contribute to teaching at all levels-including student instruction, thesis supervision, and the mentorship of early-career researchers-is essential.
